The Linhof 3D Micro Head – The Ultimate in fine geared precision for the demands of digital today.

From the Success of the 3 D Micro Head with Linhof Quick Release system – the range has now been expanded to include the universal top plate dovetail fitting used by Arca Swiss, Novaflex and RRS to name a few.

The 3D Micro head can be used for digital and analogue photography in the studio and on location. Two levelling segments have been mounted crosswise resulting in two precise segment guides for tilt and lateral levelling therefore avoiding the migration of the image when pivoting. Two rubber-coated turning knobs allow self-aligning micro movements of 12 degrees to both sides as well as front and rear. An additional panoramic plate situated above the movement axis permits exact individual exposures for composed panoramic images, the bottom panoramic plate allows precise positioning of the camera to the subject. All adjustments can be controlled and repeated with precise scales.

For the photographer requiring a larger degree of movement with quicker operation, the same engineering standard have been applied to produce the 3D Levelling Head.

The 3D Levelling Head will allow tilt of more than 180° even with heavy cameras up to 8 kilos. The top plate allows you to set your camera very accurately for panoramic pictures (hence the name panoramic plate).

The scales allow precise control and therefore repetition of earlier adjustments. Settings can also be controlled via the spirit levels.
